Once upon a time, a girl fell in love with the art of storytelling, and she has never been the same since. While I grew up scribbling down short stories, song lyrics, poems, and plays, I didn’t write my first full novel until 2015 when I was going through one of the most difficult times of my life. Facing divorce and adjusting to being a single mother I desperately needed a way to escape the overwhelming emotions I was facing and find an outlet of hope in my life. From this need Ominous was born, a story with a broken, timid heroine who found the strength to step into her own and fight for herself and those she loved. For me, it was a way to bring that same strength and determination to fight for my own happiness and the happiness of my family into fruition.
Not only did the process of writing a novel give me the emotional release that I needed at the darkest of times, but I fell so in love with the process that my dream of pursuing a full-time writing career began. I am still learning the ins and outs of the writing world and working on new content to put out into the world, but the journey is one that I enjoy, despite the rejections and the difficulty of making it as an author. It is my passion and I invite you all along for the ride.
